My grandfather worked in a drug store in Decorah, Ia., in 1886-7 and then fulfilled the requirements to become registered in Iowa. In 1888 he took a wagon to Minneapolis, bought drugs at a drug wholesale outlet, and drove to Cando, N.D. where he opened a drug store that he operated until 1920. My question, can you give me a list of things he probably got to start his business in N.D? Also, is there any way to tell the name of the wholesale drug company he bought from? I am writing a book about my grandfather and father, who also became a pharmacist after graduation from NDAC (now N.D. State) in 1920. -- Nickolas,
I will send your request to my father and see if he can help us with some of the answers to your questions. Also I will email and ask a couple of other friends for help.
Thanks,
